About this Venue

Village Theatre secured a facility in Issaquah, leaving the founders in Kirkland to decide in which direction to go. The campaign to build Kirkland Performance Center was the work of hundreds of volunteers and visionary leaders who, over a ten-year period, raised $5,800,000 from nearly one thousand donors, including government agencies, corporations, foundations and individuals. All of these contributors were motivated to bring the highest quality, professional music, theatre and dance to the Eastside. By early 1997 the capital campaign was completed and, in partnership with the City of Kirkland, construction began. A week of Opening Celebration events kicked off the theatre in a big way in June of 1998. Designed by Becker Architects, our 397 seat theatre is spacious, yet retains an intimate feel. The farthest seat is just 13 rows - 40 feet - from the stage; the steep rake of the house provides excellent sightlines throughout the theatre. The seats are ample with extra leg room for comfortable seating. The acoustics in the theatre are designed to work equally well for both music and the spoken word.

About this Venue Parking

Free four hour parking for Kirkland Performance Center is available in the Municipal Garage underneath the Kirkland Library. The library is located at the corner of Third Street and Kirkland Avenue just west of Kirkland Performance Center. Please do not park in any of the lots around the theatre belonging to other businesses.

What are the parking options at Kirkland Performance Center?

Parking is available in Lots A, B, F, G, H & I. Prices range from $5 to $30 depending on the event. Suite & VIP parking there is located on the south side of the building via the 2nd 183A Entrance, past the marquee. All methods of payment are accepted at Kirkland Performance Center for all self-park & valet lots.
When is the box office open in Kirkland Performance Center?

Regular Hours - Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, weekend hours vary per event. For event box office hours, please visit Kirkland Performance Center event tickets can be purchased through Sulekha.
Are children allowed Kirkland Performance Center?

Ticket Requirements: For all ticketed events, all Kirkland Performance Center patrons must present a ticket for entry, except for those patrons younger than two (2) years of age. However, children under two years of age must sit on the lap of an accompanying ticket-bearing adult. For some family/kids events ages, one (1) and up must be accompanied by a ticket.

Can I get an autograph or meet the artist in Kirkland Performance Center?

The Kirkland Performance Center, as a rental facility, is not in a position to contact or interfere with artist or artist management regarding autographs or special meet and greet requests. From time to time, artist management will arrange these opportunities, and if available, the Kirkland Performance Center will include that as part of standard event information.
Can I take event photos or videos in Kirkland Performance Center?

The use of photographic or sound recording devices, including film and digital cameras, digital video recorders, cell phones, and/or other visual or audio recording devices is a violation of copyright law and is strictly prohibited. Patrons using these devices during a performance may be asked to leave the theatre. No refunds will be issued. In certain instances, patrons may be asked to delete photographs.

In addition, light and noise disturbances can hinder the enjoyment of any performance. Out of the consideration and safety of performers and fellow patrons, the use of cell phones is strictly forbidden during all shows. This includes the use of phones for texting or photographic purposes. Individuals caught using their cell phones may be asked to leave the theatre.
