The Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts is a historic and versatile event venue situated in the heart of Oakland, California. Originally opened in 1915 as the Oakland Civic Auditorium, the building was later renamed in honor of industrialist Henry J. Kaiser following a significant renovation in 1984. In 2023, it was officially designated as the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts.
Designed in the Beaux-Arts architectural style by architect John J. Donovan, the venue boasts a rich history of hosting a wide range of events, including concerts, conventions, and community gatherings. Notably, it has been the site of performances by iconic artists such as Elvis Presley, the Grateful Dead, and Martin Luther King Jr.
