The DBA Brook Arts Center is a historic performing arts venue located in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Originally opened in 1927 as the Brook Theater, it served as a popular cinema and vaudeville theater for several decades before falling into disrepair in the 1980s.
In 1998, a group of local residents formed the nonprofit organization Downtown Bound Brook Alliance (DBA) with the goal of revitalizing the downtown area, including the Brook Theater. After several years of fundraising and renovations, the theater was reopened in 2001 as the DBA Brook Arts Center.
Today, the Brook Arts Center hosts a wide variety of cultural events and performances, including concerts, theater productions, film screenings, and art exhibitions. It also serves as a community gathering space, offering classes and workshops for all ages.
The DBA Brook Arts Center is an important cultural institution in Bound Brook and the surrounding area, and it continues to play a vital role in the revitalization of the downtown district.
